Your symptoms deserve a closer look

Back and neck discomfort can affect your commute, your workday, and your time with family. At Injury Center of Houston, a chiropractic evaluation gives you a place to discuss those concerns and ask questions about your options. Your provider reviews your history, examines the areas involved, and considers whether chiropractic care fits your situation.

An approach selected for you

A care plan may include hands-on treatment, movement guidance, or exercise, depending on the findings of your evaluation. Spinal manipulation is one option used for some musculoskeletal problems; it is not appropriate for every patient or every cause of pain. Your provider should explain the expected benefits, limitations, possible side effects, and alternatives before treatment begins.

Progress means more than a number

Tell your provider what matters in your everyday life: sitting through a meeting, getting through a shift, or being more comfortable during a walk. These goals help guide conversations about your care and follow-up. If your findings call for another type of evaluation, your provider can discuss the next step.

Prepare for your conversation

  • Discuss when symptoms began and what makes them better or worse
  • Bring relevant records and a current medication list
  • Mention previous injuries, surgery, and health conditions
  • Ask about the proposed plan and how progress will be assessed

Questions about chiropractic care & treatment.

Will I receive an adjustment at my first visit?

Your first visit begins with an evaluation. Treatment decisions depend on your history, examination, and the options discussed with your provider.

How many visits will I need?

There is no single visit schedule for every patient. Ask your provider about the proposed plan, follow-up, and how your response will be reviewed.

Are there risks?

Temporary soreness or discomfort can occur, and serious complications have been reported. Your medical history and the type of treatment affect suitability. Discuss risks and alternatives with your provider.
